Care StaffIt is evident from a visit to Amity at Croydon, that the staff
share a vision to provide and maintain the highest level of care to residents,
including general aged, dementia and palliative care. Ongoing internal
and external education programs enhance the links between the Amity at Croydon
staff and academic institutions to ensure that the staff have the latest and highest
level of competency. Activities and ServicesA diversional therapy
team arrange a program for each individual resident, designed to stimulate and
ensure that residents maintain an active involvment. Activities include
art and music therapy, gardening, regular outings, religious services, special
events and, of course, birthday celebrations. Many community groups visit
Amity at Croydon to entertain residents. Kitchen and Food Amity
at Croydon residents enjoy a fine cuisine either privately through room service
or enjoy the company of other residents in the dining room. All meals
are prepared on-site from fresh ingredients, nutritionally balanced and attractively
presented. A new menu is developed every 4 weeks and is planned in consultation
with a trained dietician. Residents are encouraged to add their requests
to the menu.
