Homes purchased Ann Maria Nursing Home in July 2002 and renamed it Ashburn House
Aged Care.
Ashburn House was located at 30 Ashburn Place Gladesville.
The site is undergoing major redevelopment scheduled to be completed by
January 2006.
As the changes require the whole site to be vacated, Ashburn
House is currently operating at 29 Moira Ave West Ryde, and will stay there until
the completion of the Gladesville Site. 24 hour professional care is offered to
all residents.
Meals:
Meal times are: Breakfast - 8am; Lunch
- 12 mid-day; Dinner - 5pm
Morning/Afternoon Teas and Supper are also provided,
fresh fruit is served daily. Menu is on a four week rotation.
Medical
Care:
24 hour professional care is provided to all residents. Extra Services
(please note these apply to the 21 Extra Services Beds) :
Extra Services
include weekly outings in the facility bus, individual birthday parties, special
event celebrations, church services at the facility, quarterly residents / relatives
cocktail parties, happy hour for residents, hairdressing (cut and set, offered
weekly at no extra charge), entertainment booked 4 -6 weekly, daily newspaper
other publications available, Laundry service daily, cordless telephone service
as required, Entertainment system, manicure, pedicures and personal grooming as
required, podiatry service (provided 5 hours a month), resident newsletter, massage
and aromatherapy as requested, Reflexology on request and Physiotherapy provided
on a weekly basis.
Ashburn House Development:
At the completion
of the development Ashburn House will house 31 Extra Services High Care Beds,
5o standard High Care Beds, and 30 Low Care Hostel beds. The new development will
consist of 3 stories.
Level 1: Basement
(Lounge & Cafe, Underground
parking, Theater & meeting room, Kitchen, Laundry and Dinning Room for the
Hostel).
Level 2: Ground Floor
(Nursing Home Lounge & Dinning room,
Hostel Lounge, Hostel rooms, Extra Services Nursing Home).
Level 3: 1st Floor
(Dementia
rooms, Hostel rooms, Lounge/dinning room, Light well, Sitting area, courtyards,
Nursing Home lounge/dinning room).
