An extra service facility is one that offers a significantly higher
standard of accommodation, food and services to their residents.
Residents are charged a higher fee and a lower level of Commonwealth
funding is provided. These facilities cater for residents who
are in a position to meet additional charges for higher level
services.
How much does an Extra Service Facility cost ? - this will vary
according to the facility. The resident will normally be requested
to pay an accommodation bond in addition to the daily care fees.
To some extent, the level and method of payment of the accommodation
bond at an extra service facility can be negotiated with the facility.
If you are considering an extra service facility, let us work
on your behalf to discuss the fees with the facility.
