Service 1
Selection of Facilities and Application Lodgement
After we have understood your complete requirements,
we will assist you to preselect at least six appropriate aged care
facilities to make an application for placement. We have a very
informed knowledge of many facilities and can give you an unbiased
view of their services and conditions.
We will arrange and accompany the family on a visit to at least
two facilities prior to finalising the selection of the facilities
to make an application. We will make all the arrangements for these
visits and answer any of your questions during each visit. Families
have found this part of our service very useful in comparing the
aged care homes to make an application.
An experienced Nursing Homes Placement consultant will work with
the family to complete and lodge the application forms. This will
ensure that the application forms have been fully and correctly
completed. The application forms will be lodged and recorded for
follow up.
Service 2
Securing the Aged Care Placement
After completing service 1 and lodging the
applications, we liaise with the Admissions Coordinator or Director
of Nursing at those chosen facilities, until we have secured a successful
placement for you.
During this time, we keep you, the family
and the Interim Care Coordinator updated on the status of your applications.
We are the single point of contact for all applications and work
diligently to make the placement in a timely manner.
Our fee for this
service is only payable after the placement is secured.
Service 3
Travel Care
In addition to the services mentioned above, we have a qualified and
experienced travel nurse to accompany the care recipient on interstate
or overseas travel. Cathy is very experienced at arranging the most
effective transport during the transition.
Our fee for this travel care service will vary
depending upon your requirements and should be discussed with Cathy
on an individual case basis.
After we have participated in the placement for a family client,
we ask the family for written feedback, to ensure that we continue
to develop our placement service in ways that best meet our
future family client needs.

Accommodation Bonds
Have you paid, or will you be paying a bond, and are currently "self
funded"?
Did you know that rules have changed on 1st July 2005?
Accommodation bonds are now exempt from the asset test.
You may now be eligible for a part or full time pension.
But you need to act now.
